UN MUCHACHO PRODUCCIONES
Un Muchacho Producciones was created in 2019. It responded to Ricardo Barby’s challenge to treat stories and History? in a more personal and poetic way, without losing historic accuracy or editing and visual excellence.
Despite being so young, Un Muchacho Producciones has already collaborated with a wide number of companies and institutions, nationally and internationally. Amongst them NBA, Movistar +, Canal Sur, Football Co, DeGiro, Acciona or Diputación de Sevilla, among others.
As a relaxed, but excited child looking to the sky, Un Muchacho Producciones pursue, in a very simple and relaxed way to seduce and to invite its spectators to lay back and be part of this magic journey of telling stories.
RICARDO BARBY
Ricardo Barby directed and produced under AlandaMedia Producciones, his first full-length documentary film “Descubriendo a Otto. The consul who faces Hitler” in 2019. On its journey through Film Festivals around Europe and Latin-America it was acclaimed by critics and audience, getting the “Best Historic Film” award at the 24th Zaragoza Film Festival and two nominations at ASECAN Awards. Other credits are, Co-director of the Feature-Documentary Film “Miles Civis”; paricipation of the making of the Netflix series “Camarón, de la isla al mito”; Camera operator and editor at “Escuelas Taurinas”; Director and producer for “El año que cerramos las puertas” Half length documentary nominated as “Best Half length Documetary” at Madrid and Valencia Indie Film Festivals. Ricardo Barby produced, wrote and directed in 2021-22 Un Muchacho Producciones first work, the chapter dedicated to Seville in the documentary series HOOP CITIES for NBA.
“La cuestión Helena”, now in pre-production, will be Ricardo’s second full-length documentary film and first of Un Muchacho Producciones.
